Bienvenide/Welcome corazones!
~ Happy Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse in Gemini ~
Ayyy & welcome to my first newsletter *blushes*. I am excited to finally get this to you.
On this newsletter journey, I hope to offer peeks into some things I’m practicing with, uplifting, experimenting and enjoying. As a self-healer, I know I can really only claim responsibility for my own healing process (& wow is this liberating). & as a healing companion / somatics practitioner / active community member, I know support and mirroring from others can offer spaciousness for what is possible for us.
I hope you feel fed here while on your own journey’s way.
Firssssst, a check in ~ which crow are you today?
I’m at a 1 and 3, personally. Underslept and still fiercely strutting into your inboxes.
¿y que tal?
Uffff. Thanks for ASKING. These moments are denseeee. Are you feeling the levels and layers? *inhale* The best way to describe how I feel / the energy I am managing is through Akira Kurosawa’s words:
“When you go mountain climbing, the first thing you're told is not to look at the peak but to keep your eyes on the ground as you climb. You just keep climbing patiently one step at a time”.
*exhale in gratitude* The mountain path to me is this dense threshold between worlds we are living in. El largo camino. This enormous threshold of collapse, shed, and renewal we are collectively and individually experiencing. This liminal space where little is safe from a rewrite. That which all parts of our body(s) are sensing. The peak is the new world emerging in the distance - each of us having our own visions and in this way, remaining like a horizon, an illusion. & ultimately, less important than the journey we take to get there.
I try to situate myself within this liminal space as often as I can. It is a framework that is offering me a lot of compassion for the more shadow parts of myself and my loved ones showing themselves through this incredibly challenging collective process. Todo parte del camino, all a part of the journey. It all belongs, in the words of my therapist. This framework has also helped me surrender more wholly to change and release and love the process a bit more. & uff, the grief… I make space for those waters when I can.
I know and FEEL this re-weaving energy and tension in every sector of my life. And honestly, it’s SOO MUUCH. Scary, exciting, creative, traumatizing, hopeful, hopeless, like nothing before. Much like the mountain metaphor, I am learning about endurance; about taking breaks; about harnessing my breath and nourishment for power; about the prayers needed for nearly other-worldly determination. Here, in this vulnerable spot, I tenderly ask myself:
What do I need (and can access) that would increase my ability to meet this moment with more curiosity, creativity, and hopefulness?
What can I soften up in my body(s) & offer to the force of transformation moving within and around me?
What am I needing to engage more/release so I may evolve into a being that is more aligned with my values, vision, desires and role in the world?
What do I love and choose to keep with me, to invest in, water and allow to grow fruit?
I practice humility and compassion here. I practice deeply loving myself. I practice with nonlinear time. And when I can, I forgive myself. & I forgive you too.
